Toyota has positioned itself well to provide vehicles for different car buyer. The Toyota brand is for everyone while the Lexus marque is for the upper-market. Another brand under Toyota is Scion and it is aimed towards the youth. With that in mind, it is easy to see that Scion vehicles are equipped with modern features aimed towards impressing the younger generation of car buyers. They are also equipped with standard features like the air-conditioning system which needs the Scion AC Condenser. A Scion AC Condenser is just like a radiator in the sense that they are built alike. They also basically have the same function. The radiator uses the air fins on its exterior and the flowing air to cool the engine coolant inside it. The AC condenser on the other hand cools the refrigerant in the air-conditioning system. The refrigerant circulating inside the system is compressed by the compressor turning it into high-pressure and hot gas. In order for it to be able to cool the cabin, it has to be cooled and that's where the Scion AC Condenser comes in. The AC condenser's cooling action transforms the heated gas refrigerant into liquid form. This liquid refrigerant is then forced through an expansion valve which cools it further and turns it back to its gaseous form. This is then what goes to the evaporator which is inside the vehicle to absorb the heat from the cabin air. While Toyota is known for the reliability of its vehicles, no auto parts can last forever. This holds true for the Scion AC Condenser. The abuse it will take from the vibration and heat produced by the engine will eventually weaken the AC condenser. There will come a time when the AC condenser would just fail on you. Therefore, it is wise to replace a weakened AC condenser before it goes completely out of order.
