The Ford Super Duty line of commercial trucks is made big and heavy. With heavier and bigger parts used in the assembly of a Super Duty truck like the F550, it needs a bigger and more powerful engine. The Ford F550 though is not only a brawny machine as it has refinements covered too. Like the Ford F-150, the Ford F550 also has a great interior looks and has standard features like air-conditioning and other advanced features. Of course, with the AC system comes the Ford F550 Super Duty AC Condenser which greatly helps the AC system efficiently cool the cabin of the vehicle. The Ford F550 Super Duty AC Condenser is the part of the auto AC system which cools the refrigerant circulating in the system after it has been compressed by the compressor. After being heated due to compression, the refrigerant needs to be cooled and that is done with the help of the AC condenser. The air fins on the AC condenser allows the flowing air cool the refrigerant in the system. Upon being cooled in the condenser where it condenses to a liquid form, it passes through an expansion valve which would let the refrigerant cool further. The cold refrigerant then absorbs the unwanted heat from the cockpit of the commercial truck thus keeping it cool even during the hottest of summer days. The Ford F550 Super Duty AC condenser may be built as tough as the F500 but it does not mean that it could last forever. With the truck being widely used off-road, there is an outside chance that a rock could be kicked up from the ground and it certainly poses damage to the AC condenser. And even if the Ford F550's bumper is a thick one, a front end collision could put the AC condenser out of service. The solution to these predicaments is of course to replace the AC condenser. But there is also another reason to find a replacement for a Ford F550's AC condenser and that is preventive maintenance. Before it gives up on you, it is wise to just replace the AC condenser after determining that it is indeed ready for a replacement.
