Auto AC Condenser
Wondering what an auto AC condenser does? Its task is to keep the refrigerant in the system cool enough. It does this by cooling the refrigerant coming from the compressor before letting it circulate the system to take away the heat away from the interior of your vehicle. A malfunctioning AC condenser would greatly hamper the ability of the air conditioning unit to do what it is supposed to do and that is to keep the interior of any vehicle comfortably cool.
A truck AC condenser can be easily found under the hood of a light truck. Pop open the hood of a truck and you will see the condenser nestled in front of the radiator. Confused which is which? The radiator is bigger than the condenser. And unless you have had work done on the engine bay to rearrange components, the AC condenser can be found just under the grill. This is positioned this way to take advantage of the air flowing through the area thus greatly helping cool the refrigerant.
Sport utility vehicles and smaller cars are also equipped with an auto AC condenser. The positioning is the same as that in a light truck which means an SUV AC condenser could be found right in front of the radiator. Knowing where the aforementioned part is located is the first thing one should know when checking to see its condition. If you see a deteriorated AC condenser upon inspection, it is about time that you replace it. The auto AC condenser in your vehicle is an important part of your vehicle's air conditioning system so it is important that you check it regularly. |
